5th Annual Jack Genung Memorial Fishing Tournament April 21st, 2007 Official Tournament Rules |
|
| 1. | There will be no netting or trapping of fish other than bait fish either before or during the tournament. |
| 2. | All anglers must abide by federal and state laws, rules and regulations governing the taking of saltwater fish. |
| 3. | All fish must be legal size according to the saltwater laws or angler's catch is disqualified. |
| 4. | All fish must be caught from a boat with a rod and reel. Maximum of (2) rods per angler in use. |
| 5. | Boats may not approach other vessels. Nothing may be exchanged between boats. NO non-registered angler may fish from or be on a tournament-registered boat. |
| 6. | No angler may go ashore except to use restroom facilities at Frank Butler Park, Bing's Landing, Vilano Boatramp or Coastal Outdoor Center. |
| 7. | Weigh-in station will be open from 2-4 pm on tournament day. All fish will be marked at weigh-in. |
| 8. | In the event of a tie, the fish weighed in first will be declared the winner. |
| 9. | All anglers must bring a valid fishing license with the fish to be weighed. If anglers are over 65 or under 16, they must provide proof of age. |
| 10. | All boats must be standard coast guard equipped. |
| 11. | Anglers must be in the official weigh-in line at or before 4 pm. NO LATER! |
| 12. | No angler may fish within fifty feet (50 ft) of another angler's boat. |
| 13. | The weigh-master will measure and weigh all fish and post the results. Decision of the weigh-master is final. |
| 14. | Any and all protests must be in writing and brought to the tournament director within thirty minutes after the completion of the weigh-in and be accompanied with $50.00, which will be refunded if the tournament committee upholds the protest. If not, the fee will be forfeited. |
| 15. | No fishing east of the surf zone. |
| 16. | This tournament will not be rescheduled except for a tropical storm or greater! |
